La Chicane: Beat Labs & Bass Clinics
La Chicane is a music festival and competition for Franco-Albertan students in Grades 7–12. It provides young musicians with the opportunity to perform two original songs before their peers in a supportive and inspiring environment while celebrating creativity, collaboration, and artistic growth.
In addition to the performances, the festival offers workshops that enhance participants' musical skills. I led several Bass Clinics on playing techniques, improvisation, and creating original bass lines, as well as BeatLabs sessions focused on music production, music creation software, and artist collaboration. These activities encouraged young musicians to develop their talents, express their creativity, and work effectively with others.

About Amson Saintimé
Musician & Author
I’m Amson Saintimé—an Edmonton-based bassist, composer, and author. My sound lives at the crossroads of gospel, jazz, funk, Zouk, reggae, blues, and fusion—groove-forward music with purpose and soul. I’m available for live performances (solo, duo, or full band), collaborations, and studio sessions, and I teach bass for players who want real technique, strong time, and musical freedom—not just “notes.” Beyond music, I write to build discipline, faith, and forward momentum through books and poetry. If you’re looking for deep pocket, uplifting energy, and a professional you can count on—welcome.
I offer my services in English and French.
My passion is creating music with groove and purpose—rooted in faith—and writing that strengthens discipline, hope, and forward momentum.
